Instructions?

I have challenges at understanding instructions.

First, I could not register rules in list or in sequences.
Second, I stop listen to rules immediately when they sound stupid or complicated.
Third, who cares about rules?
Last, who started rules in the first place?

The resistant behaviour is not all about being rebellious or sign of not listening. Also, it's not about the tendency of giving commands rather than receiving one. Let's put it in this way - it's hard to follow certain rules which are creatively complicated by the one who tasks you. Make much sense?

To me, it's like what do you want me to achieve; and what shouldn't I do to breach against law or compliance or just the barriers.

Recently, we were participating in team-building event. The weather was hot and humid, the host was impatient while the team were too noisy and excited - so most of the time I couldn't focus on what needed to be done for each round. Our team tended to win at tasks involving sports; and lost at those brainy tasks. Then I realised one thing in common - this bunch of people are just like me. Let's take an example, we were tasked to kayak to the boatman, fetched the rope and then returned to the shore. This was simple and we won among other 4 teams. Another example, we were tasked to put up 3 puzzles but the catch is you need to go around to exchange the puzzle pieces for the one you need. We lost terribly. This was hard because we did not know what to look for and our puzzle pieces were "cheated" by others.

Another good example is doing sports. In the team game, you just have got to know the way to win a game is to score goal, kick a ball or dunk a ball in a net without hitting your opponents and kicking their ass literally. That's straightforward huh. But when you talk about kickboxing - how to elbow, how to swing a kick, how to do a flip from right to left - my limbs coordination just go haywire like that. Or worse still, the correct posture to follow a HIIT move, and I would end up in awkward or hurtful position.

However, it depends on how the instructor gives command and how you want to make people understand about objective and rules. If you must ask, I am good at giving instructions but having a hard time to follow one.

They say, working on your strength, rather than attempting in improving your weakness. Do not get defeated just because it is not your talent but someone else's.
